Dear Piscataway Families:

Our first week back in school in 2022 is going very well. Students and staff followed all protocols to keep each other safe, and our positive case numbers were reduced. We will continue to monitor and report our COVID numbers, so our families are aware of all school and district cases and quarantines.

There are a number of upcoming events, workshop, and classes that might be helpful or of interest to our families. Please click on the links for more information.

Vaccine Clinics

Families who need vaccines or boosters can register at upcoming clinics in Piscataway and New Brunswick. Select dates are available from now until March 3, 2022.

Testing Sites

For those who need testing, here is an updated list of Middlesex County testing sites. This is, of course, in addition to the many pharmacies and medical centers who currently offer COVID testing.

Dangers of Teens and Vaping

With vaping causing significant health concerns among students, Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health offers a free webinar on January 25 on the Dangers of Teens and Vaping.

Winter Enrichment Classes

Each year our Community Education Department offers a great mix of enrichment classes to introduce students to the arts, sciences, and sports that could lead to a lifetime learning path or a welcome hobby. There is still time for our K-5 students to register for After School and Saturday Enrichment Classes covering engineering and coding, Zumba, chess, science, and sports, with K-6 students eligible for Saturday basketball, and K-8 students eligible for Saturday Coding Workshops. Complete information can be found here. Registration is on Community Pass.

And for adults wanting to try a new interest, or explore a different career option, Middlesex County is offering Adult Education Classes.

Very sincerely,

Dr. Frank Ranelli
