Five Piscataway High School student athletes are being honored for their outstanding contributions to athletics, academics, and sportsmanship.
Brooke’Lyn Drakeford has been selected as Scholar Athlete by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association. This award goes to a student who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher, is an exceptional athlete, and exhibited outstanding school and community citizenship.
Hamza Baaziz and Enobong George were chosen for the Greater Middlesex Conference Jay H. Dakelman Scholar Athlete Award, which goes to a student athlete who exhibits academic and athletic accomplishment, community service, and leadership.
Malik Wilson and Andrea Enabosi were selected for the Greater Middlesex Conference Sportsmanship Award, which goes to athletes who represent and carry the ideals of sportsmanship and fair play.
“These five are excellent examples of what all our student athletes strive to be at Piscataway,” said Athletic Director Robert Harmer. “We could not be prouder of their accomplishments and the young men and women that they have grown into. I am confident that the traits that led to these awards will continue to serve them well into a successful adulthood.”
