The Piscataway Technology Department spent their summer hard at work upgrading technology and adding resources throughout the district.

PHS students and staff will be particularly pleased to find wireless access throughout both wings of the high school fully functional for all grade levels this year. Wireless access will enable students to bring to school and use personal devices – including laptops, tablets and smart phones -- for creative learning, including research and shared communication.

Also at the high school, 25 math classrooms were fitted with interactive projectors with five English classrooms scheduled for interactive projector installation in October. Combined with wireless technology, these projectors allow students to share and compare content from multiple devices.

Four interactive projectors were installed at King, and five were installed at Arbor, as part of yearly technology upgrades.

The successful iPad program at all middle schools continues. During the summer months, the technology staff serviced and prepared iPads for distribution to our incoming Sixth Graders.

A final project includes wireless internet access added in the Administration Building, for both staff and visitors, this fall.

We appreciate the work and dedication of our technology staff in preparing our schools for 21st Century learning.
